Humpback whales are frequent visitors to the waters around Ilulissat, but they are wild animals, and every trip is different.
Each tour follows the conditions of the day. Reports, experience and local knowledge guide the search, always with respect for the wildlife. Along the way, there are views of icebergs, Arctic landscapes and the shifting light of Disko Bay. When whales are encountered, the boat slows down and keeps a respectful distance. Wildlife is never chased, and sightings are never guaranteed.
The experience is about being on the water, reading the sea and letting nature decide what unfolds.

This 2.5-hour tour combines the dramatic scenery of the Ilulissat Icefjord with the search for whales and other wildlife in Disko Bay.
The route is adapted to the conditions of the day. If whales are reported nearby, the course is adjusted. If the ice is particularly impressive, extra time is spent enjoying it.

EQI GLACIER: A LIFE TIME EXPERIENCE
Eqi Glacier
Sail north from Ilulissat to Eqi Glacier and experience one of the most spectacular glacier landscapes in Disko Bay.
The journey to Eqi is an adventure in itself. The route goes through Arctic waters framed by mountains, icebergs and ever-changing coastal scenery, while the local captain and guide share stories about the area, nature and everyday life in Greenland.
At Eqi, the boat approaches the glacier at a safe distance, with time to take in the view from the water. The glacier front is dramatic and constantly shifting, and there may be moments to see and hear ice calving from the glacier.
Nature sets the scene. Some days are calm, while on others the glacier is highly active. Every trip is unique.
There is no landing on this tour. The entire experience takes place from the boat.

Whale Watching + Oqaatsut
Combine whale watching in Disko Bay with a visit to the small settlement of Oqaatsut – a journey that brings together wildlife, dramatic Arctic landscapes and everyday life in Greenland.
The tour departs from Ilulissat and heads north through Disko Bay towards Oqaatsut. Throughout the trip, there is a constant lookout for whales. Humpback whales are frequently seen around Ilulissat in summer, and when whales appear, the itinerary is flexible to allow time to enjoy the encounter.
Nature sets the agenda, and no two trips are the same. Icebergs drift, whales surface where they choose, and weather and sea conditions shape each experience.
In Oqaatsut, there is approximately 1 hour to soak up the atmosphere of this small Greenlandic settlement. A local guide shares stories about settlement life, fishing and hunting traditions, culture and everyday life in Greenland.
After the visit, the boat returns to Ilulissat, with continued opportunities to watch for whales, icebergs and other wildlife along the way.

Fishing has always been a cornerstone of life in Greenland. On this trip, it is about more than just catching fish. It is an opportunity to experience the sea through local eyes and hear stories about fishing, hunting, nature and everyday life in Ilulissat.
The tour departs from Ilulissat by boat and continues to fishing grounds chosen according to the conditions on the day. The exact location may vary depending on weather, ice, currents and where the fishing is best.
Upon arrival at the fishing area, the equipment is prepared and the fishing begins. No previous fishing experience is needed, as the local guide provides help and guidance throughout the trip.
The atmosphere is relaxed and personal, with plenty of time to enjoy the views, the icebergs and life on Disko Bay.
