Authentic dog sledding in Ilulissat with a passionate local and her own team.

More than just a job "For me, dog sledding is a way of life. 

For the past four years, I have lived and breathed taking guests out into the Greenlandic wilderness. 

I gained my experience on some of the most demanding routes on the west coast, including the long expeditions between Sisimiut and Kangerlussuaq. 

Now I have chosen to settle in beautiful Ilulissat, where I continue to give guests unforgettable experiences in the snow." 

Experience nature together with Konrad Seblon

The dog sled tours will start directly from town with experienced musher Konrad, who shares decades of local stories. The tours are arranged in collaboration with experienced mushers who know both the ice and the stories.

Includes:

Preparation, introduction to dog sledding, as well as coffee and tea during or after the tour.

The dog sled tour is an atmospheric experience that offers close contact with both the dogs and the surrounding nature.

Safety, equipment and a thorough introduction are provided so that both beginners and experienced participants can join.

Each experience is tailored and planned to ensure a seamless journey with a focus on personal comfort and in-depth local insight.

Only locally knowledgeable experts are used, which is essential for safe operations in the Arctic.

The dog sled lecture offers a fascinating insight into dog sledding, training, the dogs’ everyday life and the cooperation between dog and musher. It is well suited for private events that seek a different and educational experience.

This year, Nuka Mathæussen and his daughter-in-law are opening the doors to their home and inviting guests in for a traditional kaffemik.

This is more than just a visit – it is a unique opportunity to gain insight into how a modern fishing family lives, and how a real kaffemik is prepared entirely from scratch.

What to look forward to

• Taste experiences: Small Greenlandic dishes, freshly brewed coffee, tea, and of course plenty of cake are served.

• Closeness: A visit lasts 1–1.5 hours, with plenty of time to ask about anything under the sun or simply enjoy the company.

• Stories: Hear about life as a fisher and the proud traditions that are cherished.

There is great joy in welcoming guests into the living room for a cozy time together.

Visit to a local home with a lecture about contemporary Greenland

Experience a unique and engaging evening in a local home, where you gain an honest and personal insight into life in contemporary Greenland.

The host shares stories about everyday life, culture, traditions, and the changes that society is currently undergoing.

Throughout the evening, there are plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get closer to Greenlandic daily life.

The experience is enhanced with a local tasting, where you sample selected Greenlandic specialties.

This adds a sensory and authentic dimension to the storytelling and creates a cozy and informal atmosphere around the table.
